Choir and congregation alike were thrilled with the outcome and the Nottingham Brass engendered such energy from start to finish. It was a joy to collaborate with them. The Dirksen is a challenging work for both brass and singers alike. The harmonies are complex and the rhythms utilize hemiola and meter changes throughout. The Rutter is rollicking in triple meter and features both the voices and brass as well as a sparking handbell part. It is pure fun!
